Erich Segal is better known for his novel ‘A Love Story’ which is till date considered bible of romantic novels. Another terrific story by Segal is ‘The Class’. In fact, The Class is Segal’s best (it's an opinion of course).

The story of The Class is divided in three parts – the Harvard story, the real world and the reunion. It is the story of five characters that from protective walls of Harvard move on to the real world. The author in this book  has sketched the stark truth of life – it is never the same.

The plot around the characters is intriguing and also appealing. There is no instance in the book that might seem dull or uninteresting. The character portrayal by the author is remarkable. Portrayal of one such character can have such an impact that it makes one wonder if a human is really at life’s discretion.

The book along with being the bestseller also won two literary awards. If you are looking for adventure, emotions, and romance coupled with a crisp style of writing, The Class, perhaps, is a must read.
